The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in the UAE launches a new service to renew the passport, 6 months before its expiry.
In this context, Lieutenant-General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director-General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, said on the anniversary of the country’s celebrations of its fiftieth National Day, the department launched a new initiative for the service of renewing citizens’ passports six months before its expiry, proactively communicating with its owner and delivering it to his residence, as the department allocated A team to carry out this task, by monitoring the passports that are about to expire through the smart system, and communicating with the beneficiaries of the service to verify their residence addresses to deliver the passport and hand it in.
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai is working on devising qualitative programs and initiatives that are in the interest of citizens and residents alike, within the framework of government directions and the state's strategy aimed at achieving the highest levels of happiness and satisfaction.
It is worth noting that the number of golden residency holders in Dubai exceeded about 44,000 beneficiaries, distributed among its various categories.
The number of passengers through Dubai International Airport has also increased significantly since the start of the recovery phase from the Corona pandemic, as the total number of passengers entering and leaving the emirate reached about 145,000 passengers per day. Passengers will soon cross the 210,000 mark, according to what was published by the Emirates Today newspaper.
