The competent authorities issued an important new warning to citizens and residents regarding 12 smartphone applications that steal bank data.

In this context, a recent report was issued by Threat Fabric, in which it warned of a number of malicious malicious applications that individuals with smart phones download on their Android-supported phones, and cause the theft and exploitation of their bank data.

In a related context, the company’s researchers were able to reveal in their latest report about a dozen applications that were designed to seize and steal bank account passwords through the Internet and through two-factor authentication codes, according to what was published by “Sputnik”, quoting the technical “cnet” website.
After tracking and researching the matter, the company's report revealed that these applications seized banking data by monitoring and recording the "keyboard" of the phone when it was used by the victims.

It is also worth noting and unfortunate that the report revealed that these malicious applications have been downloaded more than 300,000 times so far.

The developers of these malicious applications deceive users by presenting applications in a form that appears legitimate and that they do not contain any malware, but when the user installs these applications, they ask to be updated, and once updated, the malicious program is activated and installed.
