The UAE passport jumped again, and today it gained 3 new points, within the race of the most powerful passports in the world, to strengthen its position as the most powerful passport in the world alone by entering 166 countries around the world without a visa (113 countries without a prior visa and 53 countries on arrival or via the Internet), according to The latest update of the Passport Index of Arton Capital, a global financial advisory company.
According to the global index, the UAE passport widened the difference between it and the second place to 4 visa-free points, which is occupied by 4 European passports: Germany, Sweden, Finland and Italy, in addition to South Korea, which allows its holders to enter 162 countries without a prior visa,
On the third place in the global index were the passports of Denmark, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Austria and Luxembourg, which allow their holders to enter 161 countries without a visa.
In the fourth place in the list of the most powerful passports in the world, 7 passports each: Belgium, Portugal, Switzerland, Poland, the United States of America, New Zealand and Australia, allowing their holders to enter 160 countries without a prior visa, while the passports of 9 countries ranked fifth in the world by entering 159 countries without a visa, namely: Singapore, Norway, Malta, Czech Republic, Greece, Japan, United Kingdom and Ireland.
At the bottom of the list is the Afghan passport in 93rd place with entry to 35 countries without a visa, the Syrian and Iraqi passport in 92nd place with entry to 37 countries, the Somali passport in 91st place with entering 40 countries, and the Pakistani passport in 90th place with entering 41 countries without a visa.
It is noteworthy that until the beginning of the year 2020 and before the spread of the Corona pandemic, the UAE passport held the first place in the world in terms of strength according to the international classification on the “Passport Index” website, since its rise to first place in December 2018, and the passport allowed its holder to enter 178 countries, including 118 countries without a prior visa, and 60 countries with an e-visa or upon arrival at the airport.
After the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, which disrupted the movement of travel globally, which led to a total decrease in the strength of passports globally, and despite these challenges, the UAE passport remained strong, as it was ranked first in the world according to October 2021.
