The Sultanate of Oman has issued new decisions and restrictions on travel and travelers due to the developments of the Coronavirus pandemic in which it has determined the categories allowed to enter the country during the coming period, according to what the Sultanate’s health authorities announced on Monday, April 5, 2021, preventing the entry of non-resident foreigners into Oman, starting from Thursday. April 8, 2021.
In this context, the Supreme Committee to Combat Coronavirus in the Sultanate of Oman announced a set of new decisions, after the last meeting that was held recently, with the aim of following up all the changes and developments related to and discussing new procedures.
Among the new decisions was the announcement of restricting entry to Oman for citizens and all residency holders only, at the beginning of April 8, 2021.
On the other hand, the committee stressed the importance of avoiding travel by citizens and residents abroad during the coming period, and that travel should be limited to cases of extreme necessity.
The committee also decided to extend the evening ban on all activities until the end of Ramadan.
The curfew will be applied in Ramadan, starting from 21:00 until 04:00.
