The Emirates Identity and Nationality has announced the imposition of fines on some residents when renewing the residence permit, and the "identity" has identified about 8 cases that are exempted from fines for delaying the renewal of the identity card.
The Identity and Nationality revealed a late fine for residents and their delay in renewing the residence, specifying its minimum and maximum limits, after determining the exempted categories.
In this context, the value of the fine was revealed in accordance with the procedures set by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship in the Emirates and the cases of imposing it on residents.
On a related level, the resident must adhere to the procedures for renewing the identity card that were issued to him by the competent authorities in the UAE, before the lapse of about 30 days from the expiry of the identity card.
Identity and Nationality clarified that when the resident does not commit to renewing the residence on the specified date, the authorities will apply to him the penalty of imposing a delay fine on him.
On the other hand, the average fine for delay has been revealed, which is 20 dirhams per day, and the maximum is 1,000 dirhams per month.
After the expiry date of the ID card, and the UAE resident who holds the ID card after its expiry date, must submit an application for renewal, and on its part, the authority undertakes the task of sending a notification through a text message to the resident before the expiry of his card.
