The Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, headed by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, yesterday approved a proposal for a 50% discount on violations of the Roads and Transport Authority in Sharjah, which applies to both violations of truck smuggling and violations of illegal operation.
The Council discussed a number of proposals in support of fishermen in the Emirate of Sharjah, which are among the emirate's priorities under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Executive Council.
The council directed, in coordination with the competent authorities, to put the proposals into practice, provide more services to fishermen, and work to strengthen the fishing profession. The Board reviewed the performance report of the University Hospital in Sharjah, which included a set of indicators for the performance of the hospital, which witnessed an increase in the various services it provides through its centers and clinics.
The hospital includes more than 35 medical centers and specialties, staffed by a group of qualified specialists in various medical, administrative and technical specialties. The report dealt with the hospital's most developed services and ways to develop them to keep pace with patients' needs, in addition to the total laboratory tests and operations it conducts. The report concluded with a set of accreditations and certificates obtained by the hospital, in addition to the future expansion plans it is working on.
