The UAE judiciary issues a ruling regarding the payment of compensation to the worker 4 million dirhams due to a work injury

In this context, a worker in one of the companies lost the comb of his right leg that was amputated as a result of an accident he was exposed to at a work site supervised by the company in which he works, while he was transporting water pipes to bury them underground. One of the pipes he was carrying out transported fell on his foot.

Accordingly, the worker filed a lawsuit before the Abu Dhabi Family Court, and civil and administrative lawsuits, in which he demanded to obligate a company to pay an amount of 4 million and 300,000 dirhams in compensation for the material and moral damages he sustained, with obligating the company to pay the fees and expenses of the lawsuit.

Where the worker stated in his complaint that the accident missed him the opportunity to work, earn and source of livelihood, which is why he is demanding compensation, including the bitterness and heartbreak that befell him, and his need for a prosthetic part so that he can walk again. The worker also submitted to the court a copy of a forensic medical report and a copy of the judgment issued, and a copy of the defendant's license.

For its part, the Court of First Instance ruled to obligate the defendant to pay the complainant an amount of 250,000 dirhams as material and moral compensation, in addition to obliging her to pay fees and expenses.
