The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia decided, on Friday evening, to suspend the travel of residents to Iran and prevent entry to non-Saudi travelers who were previously in Iran

A spokesman for the General Directorate of Passports stated that within the framework of implementing the health procedures adopted in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the new Corona virus, the General Directorate of Passports confirms the continuation of the decision to prevent citizens from traveling to Iran
He added that, according to the requirements of maintaining public health, it was decided to suspend the travel of residents to Iran, and prevent entry of non-Saudi travelers who were previously in Iran, except after a period exceeding the maximum incubation period of the virus infection period (i.e. 14 days after leaving Iran)


 
The spokesman emphasized that the provisions of the travel documents system and executive regulations will be applied to all citizens who violate the travel ban on Iran and subject them to quarantine for a period of (14) days.

He affirmed that if it was established that this decision had been violated by a resident, he would not be allowed to return to the Kingdom

He called on all those coming to the Kingdom to disclose to the Passport Officer their presence in Iran during the past two weeks to reach the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
