However, a health insurance fee of 120 dirhams is collected as part of the visa issuance fee.
Inquiries were received to "Emirates Today" from readers, about the obligation to provide health insurance when issuing the golden residence in the country, as well as when issuing entry visas, especially the long-term tourist visa (five years). The new executive regulations of the Law of Entry of Foreigners, regarding the requirements for issuing a golden residency for foreigners, stipulate that he have a comprehensive health insurance for him and his family members, effective when applying for a golden residency, or as is in force with the competent local authority.
It also stipulated that in order to retain the golden residence permit, he must maintain a valid health insurance for him and his family members throughout the validity period of the residence, or as is in force with the competent local authority.

The Federal Authority for Identity, Nationality, Customs and Port Security issues eight types of temporary visit visas that may be granted to foreigners to enter the country, whether for a single trip or for several trips, and may be extended for a similar period or periods.
Visas are classified according to the purpose of the visit, which are: tourism, visit a relative or friend, work assignment, explore job opportunities, explore business establishment opportunities, treatment, study, training or qualification, and courtesy visa.
Entry visa extension
The executive regulations of the Law on Entry and Residence of Foreigners, which have finally entered into force, have specified the duration of stay for the entry visa for the visit, as it indicated that the visitor’s stay is determined by the purpose of his coming to the country as determined by the authority in this regard, and in all cases, the stay period should not exceed a year It is also permissible, by a decision of the head of the authority or whom he authorizes, to extend the entry visa for the visit for a similar period or periods, in the event that the seriousness of the reason for the extension is proven, and the fees due are paid.
The regulation indicated that the entry visa for a visit is valid to enter the country for a period of 60 days, starting from the date of its issuance, and it can be renewed for similar periods after paying the prescribed fee.
