Urgent.. New services to prevent drivers from being subjected to violations

The Parking Department at the Traffic and Roads Agency of the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai revealed the provision of eight new services, including providing new channels for paying fees and violations, making seasonal parking subscriptions easily, and displaying awareness information that helps customers abide by the terms of service, and avoid them being subjected to a violation.

The Director of the Parking Department, Muhammad Al Ali, told «Emirates Today», that the department is constantly updating and developing its services, and makes them available through the authority's digital channels, which provides an easy and accessible experience for customers, commensurate with their needs.

He explained that the new services provided by the authority to parking customers included adding a service for paying parking violations on the authority's website, with displaying pictures of the vehicle plate, the location of the violation, and the ability to pay parking violations for vehicles belonging to the Gulf Cooperation Council countries through the website, and also adding a service to receive notifications of parking violations for non-compliances. The vehicle owner, which enables drivers of rental vehicles and corporate vehicles to receive notices of parking violations, in addition to drivers of vehicles in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

He added that the new services included the automation of permits, subscriptions, and requests for parking reservations through the authority's website, without any need to visit customer happiness centers, and the implementation of several developments and updates on the service of paying parking fees through the RTA Dubai smart application and adding a set of features, such as an interactive map that shows the customer the location of the parking lot. Paid parking surrounding it with automatic selection of the area number and code, which reduces the error rate in choosing the area.

Al Ali pointed out that the automatic renewal of the parking fee ticket has been added when paying through the smart application, which ensures the continuity of the payment process, and that no effort is made by the customer to renew the ticket when it expires.

He added that the services included making payment available directly through Apple Pay without the need to pre-register in the application, or filling out the electronic wallet for parking, as well as adding the service of smart seasonal subscriptions through the authority's smart application, with the ability to pay the subscription value through Apple Pay in addition to other means. The other, in addition to adding a new channel to pay parking fees, through the AppClip feature by scanning the smart identification code (QR code) attached to the parking payment devices.
