The United Arab Emirates has restored hope for orthopedic patients in Yemen to receive appropriate treatment after the Center for Orthopedic and Joint Surgery at Al-Jumhuriya Hospital in Aden entered service after the restoration and establishment of the center under the supervision of the UAE Red Crescent Authority within the framework of the rehabilitation plan and the development of the hospital.
The UAE, through its humanitarian arm, the Red Crescent Authority, has renovated the center with its 112 men and women sections, including an operating room, a recovery room, four outpatient clinics, two doctors, nurses and pharmacy rooms, as well as fully furnished and two cars. For ambulance.
HE Dr. Nasser Baoum, Yemeni Minister of Health, stressed that the UAE has exerted great efforts to support the Yemeni health sector in terms of rehabilitation of infrastructure and support mechanisms and provide hospitals with medicines and supplies, pointing out that the medical facility specialized in orthopedics in Aden will serve patients from Aden and other Yemeni governorates.
During the opening ceremony attended by representatives of the Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Ahmed Salem Al-Jarba, Chairman of Al-Gomhouria Teaching Hospital praised the UAE's support for the hospital in the framework of its keenness on the Yemeni people.
