The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation in the United Arab Emirates confirmed that next Saturday, July 30, is an official paid holiday for all workers in private sector establishments, institutions and companies in the country on the occasion of the Hijri New Year for the year 1444.
It is worth noting that the Islamic New Year is the day on which Muslims wait for the first day of the month of Muharram, which is the beginning of the Islamic calendar. Therefore, the Islamic New Year is considered an official holiday in a number of Islamic countries, according to what was published by Emirates Today newspaper.
