In this context, Jad Al-Qadi, head of the National Institute for Astronomical Research in Egypt, made new statements in which he explained that it is expected that the crescent of the month of Shawwal will be born next, on the day of sighting, which is Tuesday, corresponding to the 29th of Ramadan, the 11th of next May, at exactly 9 pm local time. The judge clarified that it is expected that the crescent of the month of Shawwal will not be born at sunset on the day of sighting Tuesday, corresponding to the 29th of Ramadan in all Arab and Islamic capitals and cities, with the exception of Dakar in Senegal, as well as Nouakchott in Mauritania, in addition to Marrakesh and Fez in Morocco.

In a related development, the head of the National Institute for Astronomical Research revealed that according to the new forecasts, the setting of the moon will be 12 minutes before sunset on Ramadan 29 in Mecca and Cairo.

He also added that the moon set in the rest of the governorates of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the new crescent will set, according to expectations, between 11-14 minutes before sunset on that day.

The institute indicated that all Arab and Islamic capitals and cities will witness the sunset of the moon between 3-17 minutes before sunset, according to expectations.
