An Egyptian plane belonging to the Egyptian Air Cairo company, bound for Kuwait, made an emergency landing at Jeddah Airport in Saudi Arabia, due to a technical failure.
According to agencies, the company said that the pilot of flight SM405 was surprised by the technical malfunction during the flight, and was forced to land the plane.
The Egyptian company confirmed that all necessary measures were taken to maintain the comfort, safety and security of passengers.
A statement issued by Air Cairo, which is affiliated with the Egyptian Ministry of Aviation, said that the Air Cairo plane headed from Sohag International Airport to Kuwait was forced to make an emergency landing at Jeddah Airport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, due to an emergency technical malfunction of the plane during its flight, which had to land at the nearest airport for repair.
The pilot of flight SM405 was surprised by the technical failure during the flight, and he was forced to make an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia, and all necessary measures were taken to maintain the comfort, safety and security of the passengers, and meals and drinks were provided to them until an alternative plane was provided to transport them from Jeddah to Kuwait after a delay of several hours.
The return flight from Kuwait Airport to Sohag was informed that the flight was delayed by several hours, due to the emergency landing and the provision of an alternative plane.
