In a significant strategic move, the Kingdom of Bahrain has officially joined a joint international statement alongside 19 major nations, including the UK, France, Germany, Japan, and Canada. This global alliance issues a stern condemnation of Iran's recent escalations in the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing that any interference with international shipping constitutes a direct threat to global peace and security.

The statement, highlighted by the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), condemns in the strongest terms the attacks on unarmed commercial vessels and civil infrastructure, including vital oil and gas facilities. The nations expressed deep concern over Iran's "de facto closure" of the Strait, calling for an immediate end to the deployment of naval mines, drone strikes, and missile attacks that jeopardize maritime corridors.

According to the coalition, these actions violate the UN Security Council Resolution 2817 and the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea. Beyond security, the coalition is taking economic steps to stabilize global markets, including coordinating with the International Energy Agency (IEA) to release strategic oil reserves. The message is clear: the international community is ready to take all necessary steps to ensure safe passage through the world’s most critical energy artery.
