Preventive Measures to Safeguard the Workforce The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has underscored the necessity of implementing all essential preventive measures to safeguard the workforce and ensure business continuity. The Ministry emphasized that employee safety is a paramount priority, requiring a shared commitment and active cooperation from employers across various sectors.

Operational Guidelines During Severe Weather Through its digital platforms, the Ministry released a set of directives to be followed during rainfall to maintain a safe working environment and mitigate potential hazards. MoHRE urged companies to conduct thorough field assessments and implement site-specific measures, stressing the importance of risk evaluation—particularly for outdoor operations. The Ministry also advised rescheduling high-risk tasks when necessary and ensuring the readiness of drainage systems at all worksites.

Adjustments to Working Hours and Logistics Regarding transportation and staff movement, the Ministry highlighted the importance of adjusting working hours to align with weather conditions and verifying the roadworthiness of transport vehicles. Drivers were directed to adhere to safe driving protocols and avoid routes affected by water accumulation. Furthermore, MoHRE recommended ensuring that worker accommodations remain free from flooding and conducting periodic inspections of electrical installations to prevent hazards.

Emergency Response and Contingency Planning The Ministry highlighted the importance of providing basic necessities and ensuring a swift response to any emergencies. It called for the development of clear contingency plans and the designation of specific site supervisors to oversee safety compliance. Additionally, MoHRE emphasized the need for seamless coordination with relevant authorities to facilitate rapid intervention when required.
