In a devastating development that has shaken the kingdom, the Bahraini National Communication Center has confirmed that 32 civilians were injured following an Iranian drone attack targeting residential areas in Sitra.

The assault, which occurred in the early hours of this morning, has resulted in significant destruction to private homes and has left the community in shock.

The official statement detailed that four of the victims are in critical condition and were immediately rushed to operating theaters for emergency surgery. Among the victims are vulnerable children and a two-month-old infant. The severity of the attack is evidenced by the nature of the injuries sustained: a 17-year-old girl suffered critical wounds to her head and eyes, while two children, aged seven and eight, sustained severe leg injuries, necessitating immediate surgical intervention. The youngest victim is a mere two-month-old infant, highlighting the indiscriminate nature of the strike.

The attack has caused substantial structural damage across the residential zones of Sitra. Bahraini authorities are currently on the ground, assessing the wreckage and ensuring that all injured individuals receive the highest standard of medical care. This reckless aggression against civilian infrastructure represents a grave violation of international humanitarian law. As the nation grapples with the aftermath of this tragedy, there is a mounting outcry for international accountability and stronger measures to protect civilian lives from such unprovoked acts of violence.
