In a firm display of commitment to national security, the Bahraini Ministry of Interior has announced the arrest of six individuals of Asian nationality for their involvement in spreading harmful digital content.
The operation was successfully executed by the Cybercrime Directorate, under the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security.
The authorities confirmed that the detainees were involved in filming, posting, or reposting video clips related to the effects of Iranian aggression. Furthermore, the individuals utilized their social media profiles to express sympathy with and glorify these hostile activities. Such actions were deemed a direct threat to the country's public order and safety.
The Ministry of Interior explicitly stated that circulating such inflammatory content is intended to mislead public opinion and cultivate fear among both citizens and residents. The security services confirmed that all necessary legal proceedings have been initiated against the suspects, and they have been referred to the Public Prosecution to undergo further investigation.
In light of these developments, the Ministry issued a stern reminder to the public regarding the importance of verifying information and relying solely on official sources. The authorities urged citizens and residents to refrain from sharing unverified news or clips, warning that such actions not only risk legal accountability but also undermine the security and stability of the nation during these sensitive times. The Ministry emphasized that preserving the country’s safety remains a top priority and that any attempts to compromise this will be met with strict legal enforcement.
