Kuwait's Ministry of Defense announced that three land border posts in the northern part of the country were targeted in what it described as a hostile attack that caused material damage. The ministry also confirmed that an offshore drilling platform operated by Kuwait Oil Company in Kuwaiti territorial waters was struck by a hostile drone, resulting in property damage and injuries to one worker.

According to the official statement issued by the ministry's spokesperson, Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Atwan, the attack caused material damage at the affected border facilities, while the relevant authorities immediately began assessing the situation and implementing emergency response measures.

The statement added that the offshore drilling platform sustained material damage after being targeted by an unmanned aerial vehicle. One employee was injured during the incident and is currently receiving the necessary medical treatment.

The Ministry of Defense confirmed that the injured worker is under medical care and did not report any additional injuries or fatalities at the time of the announcement.

Authorities immediately coordinated with all relevant agencies to secure the affected locations, assess the damage, and implement the required security and technical procedures following the attack.

The incident comes amid heightened regional military tensions, with several Gulf countries announcing precautionary security measures and issuing official statements as developments continue across the region.

Kuwait's General Staff reaffirmed that the Armed Forces remain on full operational readiness and are taking all necessary defensive measures to safeguard the country's security, territorial integrity, and critical infrastructure.
