Dubai International Airport has once again been highlighted as a world-class aviation hub, with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, describing the facility as a “school of excellence in service quality and customer experience."
In a statement shared on his official “X” social media account, Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the pivotal role played by the airport in supporting the economic and social lifeblood of Dubai and the wider United Arab Emirates. According to the announcement, Dubai International Airport served more than 95 million passengers in 2025, maintaining its position among the world’s busiest international passenger airports. This milestone underscores the airport’s capacity to handle high volumes of travelers while maintaining efficient operations and passenger satisfaction.
Sheikh Mohammed further detailed the airport’s operational achievements, noting that the facility handled over 454,000 flights during the same period. The emphasis on operational excellence was evident in performance statistics, with 98.8% of arriving passengers experiencing wait times of under 15 minutes for arrival procedures. These figures reflect a systematic approach to streamlining passenger processing and enhancing the travel experience.
Expressing pride in the airport’s accomplishments, Sheikh Mohammed praised the dedicated airport team under the leadership of Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum. The leadership and commitment shown by the team have been credited with sustaining service excellence and fostering continuous growth, even amid global aviation challenges.
The remarks come at a time when the UAE continues to prioritize strategic investments in aviation and related infrastructure as part of its broader economic development agenda. Dubai International Airport is widely regarded as a cornerstone in expanding the nation’s global connectivity and attracting increased business and tourism opportunities.
These performance benchmarks also align with the country’s ongoing efforts to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency across its transport hubs. As global travel resumes growth, maintaining high standards of service and innovation remains central to the UAE’s vision of positioning itself as a leading global aviation and logistics nexus.
