Dubai has further strengthened its position as a global aviation hub, with Emirates Airline and flydubai expanding their combined networks to 286 destinations worldwide, operating from their respective hubs in Dubai, according to official data released by both carriers.
The expansion includes the resumption of services to selected seasonal destinations, along with increased flight frequencies to several existing routes, offering passengers wider connectivity and greater travel flexibility. Together, the two airlines currently operate a combined fleet of 369 aircraft.
According to the data, obtained by Emirates Today, Emirates Airline operates passenger and cargo services to 151 destinations across 79 countries, supported by a modern fleet of 272 aircraft. Meanwhile, flydubai serves 135 destinations in 57 countries, operating a fleet of 97 aircraft.
Recent figures also show that Emirates has begun operating 16 Airbus A350-900 aircraft, following the delivery of the first aircraft in November 2024. These aircraft are part of a larger order of 65 A350s, reflecting the airline’s ongoing fleet modernization strategy.
Emirates’ active fleet currently consists of 261 passenger aircraft and 11 dedicated freighters, reinforcing its status as the world’s largest international airline. In addition, the carrier has 372 aircraft on order, one of the largest aircraft backlogs in the global aviation industry.
The Emirates fleet includes 116 Airbus A380 aircraft, 119 Boeing 777-300ERs, 10 Boeing 777-200LRs, 11 Boeing 777F freighters, and the newly introduced Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
As for flydubai, the airline operates a single-type fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft, including Next-Generation and MAX variants. In 2025 alone, flydubai launched 13 new destinations, further expanding its regional and international footprint.
In November 2025, flydubai signed two major memoranda of understanding with Airbus and Boeing to purchase a total of 225 aircraft, valued at approximately USD 37 billion, marking a significant milestone in the airline’s growth strategy.
The strategic partnership between Emirates and flydubai continues to provide millions of travelers with seamless global connectivity, while offering enhanced benefits to members of the Emirates Skywards loyalty program through the carriers’ joint rewards scheme.
