The latest statistics released by the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation have highlighted the growing influence of women in the national labor market, particularly in key sectors linked to human development and quality of life, most notably education and healthcare, during 2025.

Official data revealed that women accounted for 74.3% of total jobs in educational professions, while their share in healthcare occupations reached 66.5%, underscoring the central role of female talent in strengthening education systems and enhancing the quality of healthcare services across the country.

According to the most recent figures from the UAE Labour Market Observatory, the skilled workforce recorded a 6.3% growth rate in 2025, reflecting expanding employment opportunities, improved qualification levels, and increasing demand for specialized skills across multiple sectors of the economy.

The strong presence of women extends beyond education and healthcare into the broader labor market. Statistics showed that skilled female workers represented 45.8% of the total female workforce, highlighting the positive impact of national policies focused on training, capacity building, and skills development. In addition, women’s participation in information technology professions reached 37.9%, signaling their growing role in future-oriented and technology-driven fields.

This performance forms part of a wider labor market landscape in the UAE, where the Ministry reported that the overall workforce grew by 12.4% in 2025 compared to 2024. This growth was driven by an expanding business environment and a 7.8% increase in the number of registered establishments, contributing to job creation and reinforcing the private sector’s role in boosting productivity. Meanwhile, young people continued to form the backbone of the labor market, accounting for 54.9% of the total workforce, reflecting the market’s vitality and adaptability to economic and technological changes.

In terms of women’s empowerment, the data indicated that 17.4% of women held leadership positions, including legislators, managers, and business executives. Furthermore, 36% of private sector establishments hired women during 2025, demonstrating a growing commitment to diversity, inclusion, and balanced work environments.

These positive indicators reflect the success of the UAE’s integrated labor market policies, which aim to enhance competitiveness, attract specialized talent, and strengthen the country’s position as a leading destination for advanced skills in an evolving global economy.
