Dubai Police has taken a significant step forward in digital innovation with the launch of seven specialized legal services. These services aim to simplify legal procedures, making life easier for lawyers and legal consultants.
This initiative was announced at a press conference at the Dubai Police Officers Club in Al Jaddaf. Senior officials, legal professionals, and media representatives attended, underscoring its strategic importance. Among those present were Dr. Major General Ahmad Zaal Bin Krishan Almuhairi and Major General Hareb Al Shamsi.
Minimizing In-person Visits
Brigadier Majed Al Suwaidi, director of the General Department of Police Stations, noted that the new Lawyers Platform represents a major shift in service delivery. Through electronic submission and management of requests, the platform reduces the need for physical visits to police stations, enhancing efficiency.
Lawyers can now submit documents and manage cases online, while police stations monitor workflows in real time. This approach frees up police resources for critical duties.
Enhanced Customer Experience
Hessa Al Balooshi, director of Smart Applications, highlighted the unified digital platform that offers a seamless experience across the web and mobile. It includes smart service accelerators and a central hub for tracking requests and notifications.
Lawyers can securely manage cases and client requests through digital identity authentication, avoiding physical visits. The platform also includes a Smart Advisor for guidance on services and enquiries.
The Seven Digital Legal Services
Key services include linking powers of attorney, electronic signing, and filing criminal complaints. Other services offer certificates, virtual visit permits, and enquiries about travel bans with direct payment options.
This digital transformation aligns with Dubai Police's commitment to innovation and efficiency in public services.
Driving Digital Development
Major General Dr. Saleh Abdullah Murad emphasized the platform's role in supporting strategic goals and enhancing community happiness. The legal services align with Dubai's digital transformation agenda.
Major General Khalid Nasser Al Razooqi added that AI is crucial in modern policing and enhances the reliability and integration of services.
