​In a rapid security development, the Kingdom of Bahrain announced on Saturday that its air defense systems successfully intercepted a hostile missile attack originating from Iran.

According to a statement issued by the General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), hostile missiles were detected within the Kingdom's airspace. The BDF's air defense systems engaged and successfully neutralized the targets. The command firmly stated that the situation is now "reassuring and under full control," emphasizing that no casualties or material damages resulted from the attack.

​The statement further highlighted that the Bahrain Defence Force is performing its national duty with high efficiency and remains at the highest level of military readiness to counter any threat targeting the security, stability, and safety of the Kingdom's territories and all residents. Concurrently, the Bahraini Ministry of Interior issued an emergency statement activating warning sirens, urging residents to remain calm, move immediately to the nearest safe locations, and avoid using main roads unless absolutely necessary to facilitate the movement of security and rescue forces.
