In a strategic move to safeguard national sovereignty, the General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) issued an urgent mandate this Thursday, prohibiting the filming, publishing, or circulating of any military-related activities.
Securing the Defense Front
The BDF emphasized that this ban is a direct response to the "blatant Iranian aggression" and the exceptional circumstances currently facing the Kingdom. The directive covers all forms of media, including photos, videos, and information regarding:
• Positions of military units and tactical deployments.
• Movement of military vehicles and advanced defense systems.
• Strategic defensive measures taken by the armed forces.
Legal Framework and National Security
This decisive action is backed by the Bahraini legal code, specifically Article (17-bis) of the 2002 Military Justice Law and Article (135) of the 1976 Penal Code. By invoking these statutes, the BDF aims to prevent the leakage of sensitive data that could compromise the Kingdom’s high interests or endanger its personnel.
Authorities have urged citizens and residents to refrain from resharing any unauthorized military content on digital platforms, highlighting that protecting the home front is a shared national responsibility during these challenging times.
