The State of Kuwait has issued an Amiri Decree announcing a new cabinet reshuffle, introducing several changes across key ministerial portfolios. The move reflects the country’s ongoing efforts to enhance government performance, respond to economic and developmental challenges, and strengthen institutional efficiency during the current phase.

According to the decree, Article One amends the appointment of Omar Saud Abdulaziz Al-Omar, assigning him the position of Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology. This decision underscores the growing strategic importance of digital transformation, technological innovation, and advanced communication systems in Kuwait’s national development plans.

Article Two of the decree outlines a series of new ministerial appointments covering vital sectors. Osama Khaled Abdullah Boudi was appointed Minister of Commerce and Industry, a portfolio central to regulating markets, supporting local industries, and encouraging sustainable economic growth.

The reshuffle also included the appointment of Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as Minister of Foreign Affairs, reaffirming Kuwait’s commitment to a balanced and proactive foreign policy rooted in diplomacy, regional cooperation, and international engagement.

In the field of sustainable development, Dr. Reem Ghazi Saud Al-Fulaij was appointed Minister of State for Development and Sustainability, highlighting Kuwait’s focus on integrating sustainability principles into public policy and aligning national strategies with global development goals.
