In a showcase of high-level defensive readiness, the Kuwait National Guard (KNG) Duty Force successfully intercepted and downed two Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (drones) earlier today, Thursday. The drones were detected flying over vital strategic locations currently under the protection and securing of the KNG forces.

Our exclusive reports indicate that the KNG’s early warning and air defense systems identified the intruding drones as soon as they entered the restricted security perimeter. Following established military protocols for handling unauthorized aerial threats, the specialized units engaged and neutralized both drones swiftly. The operation resulted in the safe downing of the UAVs without any damage to the secured facilities or personnel.

KNG officials emphasized that their units are equipped with state-of-the-art technology specifically designed to monitor and counter low-altitude aerial threats. They reiterated that the security of Kuwait’s vital infrastructure remains a "top priority" and that the National Guard maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding any unauthorized intrusions or security violations.

Following the incident, technical teams from the National Guard, in coordination with state security agencies, began inspecting the wreckage to determine the origin and technical specifications of the drones. Investigations are also underway to identify and apprehend those responsible for operating these drones within prohibited zones. This successful interception highlights the KNG’s combat efficiency and its pivotal role in defending the nation against modern asymmetrical threats.
