Kuwait City – March 25, 2026 | Due to the ongoing heavy rainfall across the country, the Ministry of Interior has implemented a series of emergency road closures and traffic diversions to ensure public safety.

Our news desk reports that several critical arteries have been affected, including the King Issa (Fhihl فحيحل) Main Road for those heading from the city towards Fahaheel, and the King Abdulaziz Road for commuters traveling from Fahaheel towards the Capital.

Additional traffic measures include a U-turn ban on the Main Sixth Ring Road towards Taawon Street. Furthermore, Taawon Street has been closed for traffic coming from the Al-Odhaiba intersection towards the Messila intersection, alongside the closure of the roundabout at the entrance of the Aswaq Al-Qurain area.

In a concurrent statement, Eng. Ahmed Al-Saleh, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Works, confirmed that emergency teams are deployed 24/7 at all "critical locations." Al-Saleh emphasized that these teams are equipped to handle immediate water accumulations to maintain road safety during the peak of the rain waves.

Authorities strongly urge all motorists and residents to exercise extreme caution, strictly follow the announced diversions, and avoid unnecessary travel until weather conditions stabilize. Staying updated through official channels is advised to avoid getting stranded in water-logged areas.
