Using naked-eye observation supported by modern technology, the team at Tumair managed to capture the image of the crescent in the sky, despite weather challenges in some regions. Following this on-ground confirmation, observation operations have paused as the world awaits the "final word" and the official statement to be issued by the Saudi Supreme Court within the next few minutes.

​The confirmation of the sighting in Tumair indicates that tomorrow will be the first day of the holy month. Minarets will soon echo with the first Taraweeh prayers, signaling the start of a 30-day journey of fasting and devotion.
