The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) in the UAE forecasts continued heavy rainfall in scattered areas across the country. The NCM added that the rain experienced in several northern and eastern regions on Sunday is expected to continue on Monday.
In an official statement, the NCM indicated that rainfall ranged from light to moderate in many areas, particularly in Ajman, Dubai, and Sharjah. Other areas, such as Dibba in Fujairah and the Marghama area of Dubai, also experienced heavy rainfall.
According to the NCM statement, several areas in the UAE were affected by heavy rain, which extended northward on Sunday.
Rain clouds also formed in various parts of the country. The NCM explained that the UAE is experiencing an unstable weather system this week.
Heavy rainfall is expected to continue in some northern and eastern regions, as well as some coastal areas, particularly in the north of the country. In the same vein, the National Center of Meteorology warned of continued partly to mostly cloudy skies in some areas, with high humidity overnight and the possibility of fog and drizzle on Tuesday.
The official statement also warned that land and air transport will be affected by the weather conditions at the end of this month. Additionally, the sea is expected to be rough in the western Arabian Gulf during the morning before calming down later in the day.
According to the statement, the current adverse weather conditions are expected to subside by Tuesday, January 27, with clear to partly cloudy skies and the appearance of low clouds over some eastern and northern regions.
