The National Center of Meteorology has issued an important weather advisory warning of fog formation and reduced horizontal visibility, at times reaching near zero over some coastal areas in the UAE. The authority also forecast rough sea conditions and a noticeable drop in temperatures on Monday.
According to the detailed forecast, Saturday’s weather will be generally fair with occasional partly cloudy conditions. Humidity levels are expected to rise during the night and early Sunday morning, creating a chance of light fog over some coastal areas. Winds will range from southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate in speed, while sea conditions will remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
On Sunday, conditions will remain fair to partly cloudy, with humid weather at night and a possibility of light fog over some inland areas. Winds will shift from southeasterly to northwesterly, remaining light to moderate but becoming active in the evening and occasionally strong, reaching speeds of up to 45 km/h. Sea conditions are expected to range from slight to moderate.
Monday will bring a noticeable decline in temperatures, with generally fair to partly cloudy skies and dusty conditions at times. Humidity will increase again overnight and into Tuesday morning, enhancing the likelihood of fog or light fog over inland and coastal regions. Northwesterly winds will be light to moderate but may become fresh to strong at sea, particularly westward during the daytime, stirring dust and sand over land areas, with speeds reaching up to 45 km/h. The Arabian Gulf will experience very rough to rough seas, gradually easing to moderate by Tuesday morning, while the Sea of Oman will be rough in the morning before becoming moderate to slight.
For Tuesday, the forecast indicates fair to partly cloudy weather, particularly in northern areas, accompanied by a gradual rise in temperatures. Humid conditions are expected to return overnight into Wednesday morning, with renewed chances of fog or light fog in certain inland and coastal locations.
The National Center of Meteorology continues to advise motorists to exercise caution during foggy conditions and urges the public, particularly seafarers and coastal residents, to monitor official updates regarding wind activity and sea state developments to ensure public safety.
