UAE authorities have issued an important warning to citizens and residents from today until next Monday, as the National Center of Meteorology has forecast unsettled winter weather conditions across the country from today, Friday, through January 19.

According to the forecast, the UAE will be affected by a noticeable drop in temperatures, increased wind activity causing dust and sand, along with chances of rainfall in some areas. The weather conditions are also expected to lead to significant sea disturbances, particularly in the Arabian Gulf.

In an official statement, the National Center of Meteorology explained that Friday’s weather is expected to be dusty and partly cloudy, with low clouds appearing over some coastal and northern areas. This will be accompanied by a marked decrease in temperatures across various parts of the country.

Northwesterly winds will blow at moderate to fresh speeds, occasionally becoming strong and dust-raising. Wind speeds are expected to range between 15 and 30 kilometers per hour, with gusts reaching up to 60 kilometers per hour. As a result, sea conditions will be very rough to rough in the Arabian Gulf and rough in the Sea of Oman.

On Saturday, the weather will remain partly cloudy, with continued appearance of low clouds over some coastal and northern regions. Moderate to fresh northwesterly winds will prevail, with speeds ranging from 15 to 30 kilometers per hour and reaching up to 40 kilometers per hour. Sea conditions will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and rough to moderate in the Sea of Oman.

Sunday’s weather is expected to be humid during the morning hours, with a possibility of fog or light mist forming over some inland areas. Conditions will remain partly cloudy to cloudy at times during the night over coastal and northern regions. Northwesterly winds will remain active at speeds between 15 and 30 kilometers per hour, reaching up to 40 kilometers per hour, while sea conditions will be moderate with occasional roughness.

As for Monday, forecasts indicate humid morning conditions, with a chance of fog or light mist over some inland areas. Weather will range from partly cloudy to cloudy at times over coastal and northern regions, with a possibility of rainfall and a rise in temperatures. Winds will be light to moderate, and sea conditions will be slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
