Official announcement in Kuwait! Public Authority for Manpower slashes working hours for the summer season with special dismissal benefits.

The Public Authority for Manpower in Kuwait issued a decisive administrative decree regulating official working hours during the upcoming summer season. This official national announcement serves as a direct measure to enhance operational flexibility and boost institutional productivity across the country.

According to the formal statement released by the Public Authority for Manpower on Sunday May 31 2026 the new system starts on June 1 and concludes on August 31. Government officials emphasized that these newly enforced measures aim primarily at reducing daily working hours by one full hour.

The Public Authority for Manpower explained that the total daily shift during this summer period will be restricted to six hours only. The morning registration period for attendance will remain open from 7 AM until 8 AM to offer maximum flexibility for government employees.

The official decree grants all staff members a thirty minute grace period for morning attendance after 8 AM to ease daily commuting. Employees are legally permitted to leave the workplace immediately after completing their mandatory six hours of active duty.

The Public Authority for Manpower designated a fifteen minute early dismissal privilege daily for female employees during this special period. An additional thirty minutes will be added to their exit balance if they choose not to utilize the morning grace period.

Authorities specified that the evening shift will officially start from 5 PM and continue until 9:30 PM during the specified months. This evening schedule represents four and a half hours of actual workplace operations along with a thirty minute arrival grace period.

The administrative regulation introduces a specific clause allowing partial duty reductions without pay for up to four hours daily under strict guidelines. Employees can choose shifts either from 7 AM to 1 PM or from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

Officials reiterated that regular morning and evening working schedules will automatically resume following the conclusion of this temporary summer directive in August. Management units are highly advised to monitor attendance logs strictly to guarantee full compliance.
