The Kingdom of Bahrain announced on Friday that its air defense systems had intercepted and destroyed a number of Iranian aerial attacks, reaffirming the country’s continued state of military readiness and preparedness to protect the safety of citizens and residents.

In a statement, the General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force said that Iran continues what it described as a systematic hostile approach through attacks targeting civilians in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The command stated that Bahrain’s air defense systems had successfully confronted, intercepted and destroyed a number of Iranian aerial attacks.

The General Command reaffirmed that all weapons systems and military units of the Bahrain Defence Force remain at the highest levels of readiness and defensive preparedness, emphasizing their continued commitment to carrying out their national duties to protect the Kingdom and safeguard its security and stability.

The Bahraini authorities also urged citizens and residents to exercise the utmost caution and avoid approaching any unfamiliar or suspicious objects that may be remnants of the reported attacks. Members of the public were instructed to immediately report any such objects to the relevant authorities to ensure public safety.

The Royal Field Engineering Unit of the Bahrain Defence Force, the statement added, remains fully prepared to deal safely and technically with any suspicious objects or remnants discovered in affected areas, in accordance with approved procedures.

The General Command further stressed that deliberately targeting civilians and private property with missiles and drones constitutes, according to the statement, a serious violation of international humanitarian law.

The latest developments come amid heightened regional security tensions. Bahraini authorities continue to emphasize the importance of vigilance, adherence to official safety instructions and reliance on verified information issued through official channels during the current security situation.
