​The High Criminal Court in Bahrain has sentenced two Asian defendants to life imprisonment after convicting them of the premeditated murder of a compatriot in the Budaiya area. The verdict follows a detailed investigation into a crime motivated by a long-standing personal vendetta.

According to the Chief of the Northern Governorate Prosecution, the case began when the security directorate received a notification regarding a body found with multiple stab wounds in an alleyway. Public Prosecution teams were immediately dispatched to the crime scene for forensic examination.

​Prosecution officials conducted a thorough site inspection, documenting all physical evidence and examining the victim's body. Simultaneously, investigators gathered testimonies from eyewitnesses present in the vicinity of the incident to reconstruct the timeline of the attack.

​During interrogation, the two defendants provided a detailed confession, admitting to planning the murder as an act of revenge. They revealed that the crime was rooted in a 12-year-old dispute that originated in their home country, which led them to seek out the victim in Bahrain.

​The investigation uncovered that the perpetrators had meticulously stalked and monitored the victim for two months prior to the incident. They tracked his daily movements and routines to determine the most vulnerable time and place to execute their criminal plot.

​On the day of the crime, the duo ambushed the victim near his residence in Budaiya. As soon as he appeared, they attacked him, delivering several fatal stab wounds to various parts of his body. The victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene before medical assistance could arrive.

​The Public Prosecution confirmed that all legal procedures were strictly followed, and the defendants’ confessions were consistent with the forensic evidence. This comprehensive evidence package provided the basis for the court’s decision to impose the maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
