HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, issued Decree No. (13) of 2026 today.
LThe decree mandates the reformation of the Zakat Fund Board of Directors, chaired by Shaikh Omar bin Duaij Al Khalifa.
The reformation follows a proposal by the Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs and obtained Cabinet approval.
Mr. Abdulhakeem Yaqoob Al-Khayyat was appointed Vice Chairman, alongside members Dr. Jameela Al-Salman and Mr. Adnan Yousif.
The board includes Mr. Ahmed Khalil Khairi and Mr. Abduljalil Al-Haiki to strengthen the fund's charitable and institutional work.
Mr. Mohammed Jamal Mohammed Sultan was appointed as a member representing the Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs.
The Ministry of Finance and National Economy is represented on the new board by Mr. Ali Jassim Ali Hussain.
Mr. Ibrahim Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Fadhala joined as a member representing the Ministry of Social Development for social cooperation.
The decree specifies a four-year term for board membership, which is renewable for similar periods as per regulations.
The Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs is tasked with implementing this decree, effective immediately upon official publication.
