Abdullah Al Rajhi told Al-Anba that Gulf, Arab, and foreign airlines have begun operating through Terminal 4 at Kuwait International Airport, with each airline currently operating one flight per day during the initial phase.

According to the statement, Terminal 4 has been fully prepared from a logistical standpoint to serve as a temporary alternative facility for flight operations.
The move is intended to maintain the continuity of air travel services while operational efficiency is restored at Terminal 1.
Officials indicated that airline operations will be introduced gradually, allowing airport authorities to manage capacity and maintain smooth operational performance throughout the transition period.
The current arrangement is designed to ensure that passenger services continue without major disruption while airport operations adapt to the temporary changes.
Authorities are also conducting regular assessments of operational conditions to determine whether the number of flights can be increased in the near future.
The statement emphasized that passenger interests remain a top priority and that all available efforts are being directed toward minimizing inconvenience for travelers.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation continues to operate around the clock to oversee flight operations and provide the necessary support and facilitation measures for passengers and airlines.
Travelers have been advised to pay close attention to their flight schedules and verify travel details before heading to the airport.
Passengers are also encouraged to arrive well in advance of departure times to complete all required procedures efficiently and avoid delays.
The temporary use of Terminal 4 represents a transitional operational solution aimed at ensuring uninterrupted air travel while authorities continue working toward the full restoration of Terminal 1’s operational capabilities.
