Kuwait's official gazette has published eight new decrees concerning Kuwaiti citizenship, including revocation decisions affecting thousands of individuals.
According to the published decrees citizenship was revoked from 2,192 individuals as well as those who acquired it through dependency provisions.
Decree No. 90 of 2026 revoked citizenship from 26 individuals and their dependents.
Decree No. 91 of 2026 revoked citizenship from five individuals and their dependents.
Decree No. 92 of 2026 revoked citizenship from 1,594 individuals and their dependents, representing the largest group covered by the decrees.
Decree No. 93 of 2026 revoked citizenship from 491 individuals and their dependents.
Decree No. 94 of 2026 ordered the withdrawal of citizenship from one individual.
Decree No. 95 of 2026 revoked citizenship from four individuals and their dependents.
Decree No. 96 of 2026 revoked citizenship from two individuals and their dependents.
Decree No. 97 of 2026 revoked citizenship from 70 individuals and their dependents.
The decrees were published in Kuwait Al Youm, the country's official gazette responsible for publishing laws, regulations and official government decisions.
In conclusion the latest decrees include citizenship revocations affecting 2,192 individuals and their dependents, along with the withdrawal of citizenship from one additional person.
