Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced that two secondary feeders at the Hittin H main substation went out of service due to a technical fault, causing a limited power outage in parts of the area.

The ministry confirmed that the outage affected limited sections of Hittin, specifically Blocks 2 and 4, after the technical problem disrupted the operation of the two secondary feeders.

Emergency teams from the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy are currently at the site, working to identify the fault and carry out the necessary technical procedures to restore electricity.

The ministry said its specialized crews are continuing their field efforts to address the malfunction and restore power to the affected areas as quickly as possible.

The response forms part of the ministry's established procedures for dealing with faults affecting electrical substations and feeder networks, with the aim of minimizing the duration of the outage.

Technical teams continue to work on the affected infrastructure while monitoring the situation and taking the necessary steps to restore normal electricity service.

The ministry emphasized that the outage is limited to parts of Hittin and does not affect the entire area, while emergency crews continue working to reconnect affected consumers.
